Q: How do I Place an Interlibrary Loan Request? (step by step)
Last Updated: Feb 07, 2022     Views: 555

1.)  From the library's homepage, select "InterLibrary Loan" under Find Materials:

2.)  Alternatively, you can click on the Purple Button for speedier access:

3.)  If you're new to Interlibrary Loan (or "ILL" for short), you'll have to be cleared as a user.  Type in your Network Username and Password (same as email):

4.)  New users will have to fill out a brief form:

5.)  In the "New Request" section on the left of the screen, choose the type of item you're requesting (Article, Book, DVD, etc.):

6.)  Fill out the form with as much information as you can.  For example:

***Typing in the ISBN is helpful to speed up request time, but not necessary***

7.)  Click Submit Request at the bottom of the page to send it out for processing:

8.)  After submitting, a notification will state that your request was received.  Your "Outstanding Requests" will display with all current iLLiad requests and their status:

9.)  You will receive an email when your item arrives at the library, if we need to cancel your request, or if we need more information.  Check on the status of any of your requests in the "View" menu:
